It's a dark winter. With high contrasts.
People getting stuck with each other or being left alone and isolated.
Opinions are very black or white. There is no grey area anymore. Even facts can be a lie. We point fingers to blame the other side. Too scared to admit that we are all the same.

These series want to give an inside on my observations of this new world and the process of translating them into paintings. There is a horrific beauty in the contrast between dark and light, straight and curved, death and alive...
